2016 South Asian Womens Championship is all set to start

Inaugural edition of the South Asian Basketball Association (SABA) women’s basketball championship is all set to start at Kathmandu, capital city of Nepal. The championship will be held from March 29 to April 2, 2016.


Hosts Nepal along with Bangladesh, Maldives, Bhutan and Sri Lanka is vying for the inaugural title of the 2016 SABA women’s championship. South Asian basketball powerhouse India along with Afghanistan and pakistan are not participating in championship. With the absence of the giant India, all the participating countries have equal chance of winning the championship.

Nepal Basketball Association, a FIBA affiliate, in association with South Asian Basketball Association (SABA) is the organizer of the championship.
