Alab Pilipinas absorbed second straight home loss

Tanduay Alab Pilipinas absorbed their second straight home setback and second defeat overall, 97-83, in a loss to the Singapore Slingers last November 29 (Manila time) in the ongoing season of the ASEAN Basketball League (ABL) at the Sta. Rosa Multi-Purpose Complex in Laguna, Philippines.

Former Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) player AJ Mandani proved to be the biggest thorn on the side of Alab as he combined efforts with the two Slingers import to register their second straight victory following an opening game loss.

Slingers’ Xavier Alexander registered a triple-double with 27 points, 11 rebounds, and 12 assists while fellow import Ryan Tucker added 24 markers and 18 boards.

Mandani added 17 points, four assists, and three steals.

Reggie Okosa led Alab with 24 points, 10 rebounds, and two blocked shots as former National Basketball Association (NBA) player Ivan Johnson scored 19 markers and grabbed eight rebounds.

Bobby Ray Parks added 14 points in the loss.
