Just before the 3rd round, it is time to have a first look at the MVP race, this is our 5 pretenders :

5 – Nando De Colo – France

12 points (54%), 5 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal

Nando De Colo has played a great role in the French team. After an amazing season with the CSKA Moscow, the was supposed to be Tony Parker back up but he is for now the real leader on the court. Always attacking the paint and clutch behind the line, he is also very regular in his perfomances.

4 – Nemanja Bjelica – Serbia

15 points (62%), 7 rebounds, 3 assists

If Milos Teodosic is the franchise player of the Serbian team, Nemanja who will play for the Wolves next season, is the offensive leader. He is regular and clutch, he scored the shot for the win against Germany, his size allows him to attack the paint easily. 19 points and 14 rebounds in the difficult win against Finland the previous game, he is a very good surprise for Serbia.

3 – Jan Vesely – Czech Republic

17 points (60%), 9 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal, 1 block

He qualified his team for the first quarter finals of the history of Czech basketball. Very good at rebounds he is a strong threat inside, he is perfectly adapted to the European game style. The duo he formes with the pointguard Tomas Satoransky is really beautiful to watch and dangerous.

2 – Danilo Gallinari – Italy

18 points (58%), 7 rebounds, 3 assists

After a long injury, the Nugget is back and take the lead of a good team of Italy. More regular than Marco Belinelli and Andrea Bargnani, he is incredible at the three point line. Very confident, he is the number one in free throw (more than 7 points per game). 29 points 8 rebounds 6 assists against Spain and 25 points 9 rebounds against Germany the next day, Danilo is clearly back at the top.
