UCLA Connection: Mbah A Moute Joins Kevin Love At Timberwolves.

The Minnesota Timberwolves have announced that the team has acquired the services of Cameroonian forward Luc Mbah a Moute from the Sacramento Kings in a trade deal that sees  forward Derrick Williams leave for Sacramento.

After the Bucks matched an offer sheet from the Denver Nuggets on Dec. 13, 2011, Mbah a Moute was traded by Milwaukee to the Kings on July 12, 2013 in exchange for two second-round picks. The trade reunites Mbah a Moute with Kevin Love, as the pair led UCLA to a Final Four run in the 2008 NCAA Tournament.

 Luc was one of the 2 NBA players (the other Alfarouq Aminu of Pelicans and Nigeria) to grace the 2013 Afrobasket championship in Abidjan, Cote d’ ivoire. He starred for his native country Cameroun guiding them to a 5th place finish.
