About the Windsor Express

2016 Windsor Express2

The Windsor Express is one of the top teams in the NBL Canada and won the league championship in 2014 & 2015. This season they lost in the semifinals of the NBL Canada playoffs. In 2012, the NBL announced that Windsor had been awarded an expansion team for the 2012-13 season and placed the Express in the Central Division. The Express name is partially a tribute to the Underground Railroad and to the rail yards on the banks of the Detroit River.
